Chopin or Paganini, a poem

By Majid Naficy
I ask for Chopin
But Alexa plays Paganini
With his fast violin.
She does not know that I’d like
To sit by a qanat creek
And watch tiny fish
Coming from the heart of darkness
And going toward light.
Play Chopin’s Nocturnes!
I am not an albatras.
I am a waterwell-nested dove
Who has given his heart
To the murmur of a qanat.
Let Chopin play piano
And Paganini, guitar
So that I can find my way
Back to the warm heart of the Earth.
